The local media reported that Prisa Sah had already spoken about mental harassment and blackmail, and she had lodged official complaints with the university. Even after lodging such complaints, the university is reported not to have taken the required action, which might have driven her to the tragic decision. Dr. Deuba further said that the Nepalese Embassy in New Delhi was also notified about the incident. The embassy has worked in close coordination with Indian authorities to make sure that a proper and fair investigation is conducted. The authorities are investigating every detail of the case, including Sah's harassment claims, so that such incidents do not occur again.
