An Indian-origin father in New York has sought financial help to arrange the funeral and burial of his five-year-old daughter, Fabiana Cabello. The girl had died after being found unresponsive at her family’s home in Queens. Her mother, identified as Francis Cabello, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the child’s death. Kuldeep Singh has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for funeral and cemetery expenses.
Girl Fond Unresponsive At Home
Fabiana was found unconscious and unresponsive at her family’s home in South Richmond Hill, Queens, on the evening of October 14. Police said officers arrived at around 6.55 pm after receiving an emergency call. The child was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. According to investigating officials, Francis allegedly told the 911 dispatcher, "I killed my daughter" and when emergency responders reached her home, then also she said, "She's upstairs not breathing."
The New York Police Department confirmed that Francis, 32, was arrested on October 15. She appeared in court on October 16 but did not enter a plea. She is being held without bail. An autopsy report found scrapes on Fabiana’s face and tiny spots of bleeding in her eyes, heart and lungs, known as petechiae. However, the official cause of the death has not been announced.

Father Appeals For Help
Meanwhile, the child’s father, identified as Kuldeep Singh, has raised a GoFundMe campaign to raise the funeral cost. In his campaign speech, Singh stated that he continues to work as an Uber driver in the city. He emphasised that the funeral home and cemetery were asking for a deposit that he could not afford.
“My 5-year-old daughter passed away two days ago at Jamaica Hospital, and I am asking for help with her funeral and cemetery costs. I loved my daughter very much, and losing her feels like I lost my whole world,” he wrote. Singh has asked people to donate or share the fundraiser to help him arrange a proper funeral for his daughter.
“I am raising this fundraiser so I can give my daughter a proper funeral and cemetery service and cover the deposit that is being requested right now. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help ease this burden and support me during one of the hardest moments of my life,” he added.
