United States President Donald Trump on Saturday cast his early vote in Florida ahead of the November 3 midterm elections. Trump voted alongside First Lady Melania Trump at a polling station in Palm Beach County. The in-person voting came as Trump stepped up efforts to encourage Republican supporters to vote early for the crucial election where the party is facing a tough contest to retain control of Congress.

Trump's Fresh Attack On Democrats

After casting his ballot, Trump spoke to reporters about concerns over corruption in US politics. He accused Democrats of being involved in corruption and referred to Minnesota, Maine and Los Angeles while making his claims. Trump also referred to the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s case while claiming that every Democrat is involved in corruption. “You have to look at the real corruption. That is the corruption of the Democrats, and that includes the Jeffrey Epstein case, and every Democrat is involved,” Trump said.

Trump Urges People To Vote Early

Trump has been travelling across the country to campaign for Republican candidates. At rallies, he has repeatedly asked his supporters to cast their ballots before Election Day to help increase voter turnout. His efforts have drawn attention as it marks a significant change in his approach as Trump earlier criticised early voting and questioned the security of mail-in ballots. He has also repeatedly claimed election fraud in the past through these ways.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump urged voters to support Republican candidates in every race as New Jersey geared up for early voting. He asked people who had received mail-in ballots to return them quickly and encouraged others to vote in person. Trump also said early voting would remain open in New Jersey until November 1.

November 3 Midterms

The November 3 elections are considered important as they will determine control of Congress. This makes voter turnout important for both major parties. For Republicans, it matters as they face challenges linked to high inflation and the war with Iran. Trump has also voted early in past elections, including the 2020 presidential race. He had voted by mail in a special election for Florida’s state House in March.
