The US Guard has revealed the final message from the Titan submersible, which imploded on June 18, 2023, during an expedition to view the Titanic’s wreckage. The photo and video released show the submersible’s broken tail cone resting on the ocean floor, some 12,500 feet deep in the Atlantic.

A chilling text exchange between the Titan submersible's crew and the support vessel Polar Prince was revealed during the hearing. When asked if they could see the ship, the crew replied "All good here" as they descended into perilous waters.

However, their final communication, "Dropped two weights," suggested that they were attempting to ascend when contact was lost, Fox News reported.

The US Coast Guard's Marine Board of Investigation (MBI) revealed that the Titan submersible's catastrophic implosion was confirmed by the recovered debris, including the detached tail cone.

The tragic implosion of the OceanGate submersible claimed the lives of five people, including former CEO Stockton Rush, Hamish Harding, British billionaire Paul Henry Nargeolet, Shahzada Dawood, a British-Pakistani businessman and his 19-year-old son Suleman.

Following the implosion, OceanGate faced intense scrutiny regarding the design and safety of the Titan. Former engineering director Tony Nissen testified that he felt pressured to expedite the sub’s launch despite his concerns about its safety.

David Lochridge, OceanGate’s former operations director, testified that the tragedy could have been averted had the company investigated his concerns. Lochridge stated that he was disappointed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's move to not follow through on his complaint.

The former OceanGate employee said, “OceanGate wanted to be able to qualify a pilot in a day, somebody that had never sat in a submersible," calling it a "huge red flag." He also stated no one was properly trained to conduct dives with this submersible.
