Hours after the deadly Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attack on Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, a feeling of revenge triggered among the whole countrymen. They have been demanding a Balakot-style surgical airstrike on Pakistan to avenge the death of 26 innocent tourists who were killed during a holiday trip. Amid fears of being attacked, former Pakistan Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that the country will stand together to protect itself if "attacked or threatened" by India.

"Pakistan is politically divided, but we stand united as a nation. If attacked or threatened by India, all groups — PML-N, PPP, PTI, JUI, and others — will rally together under the Pakistani flag to defend our homeland," Hussain said in a post on X.

Hussain calls India's action "childish"

Hussain, a senior leader of Imran Khan's PTI party, took to social media to share multiple reactions to the Pahalgam attack. Although he condemned the attack but added both countries should not follow the war-mongering technique to take up the issue. He, instead, urged the Indian government to have dialogue, but on the other hand, criticised the Indian media for "exaggerating facts". He called the Indian government's action "childish" and a violation of internatoonal rules. "The Indian Cabinet has concluded its security meeting—let’s hope cool heads prevail and the authorities don’t risk millions of lives by giving in to media-fueled war jingoism. #Pahalgam," he wrote minutes before the Indian side announced a crackdown on Pakistan.

Following India's announcement of suspending the Indus Water Treaty,1960, he again took to the social media platform and said New Delhi could not the agreement in abeyance. He said the announcement has violated the international laws and added it would impact farmers of Punjab and Sindh. "India under international law cannot put the Indian Basin treaty in abeyance, it will be a gross violation of treaty law, and this childish decision will affect only poor farmers of Punjab and Sindh," he wrote.
