India-Pakistan Conflict:

The ongoing conflict between the two neighbouring nations saw a major escalation on the intervening night of May 8 and May 9, when Pakistan launched a barrage of missiles and self destructing drones on multiple border cities in northern and western India. However, all these attempts were successfully repelled by India's Air Defence Systems, and over 50 drones were intercepted along LoC and International Border.

"Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along entire Western Border on the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025. Pak troops also resorted to numerous cease fire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The drone attacks were effectively repulsed and befitting reply was given to the CFVs. Indian Army remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignity and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be responded with force," the Indian Army said in a statement.

Earlier on the May 7 and May 8, the Indian Armed Forces also successfully neutralised Pakistan military's attempts of a large-scale drone and missile attack on multiple Indian military installations across Northern and Western India and an Air Defence system at Lahore was also neutralised.
