Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, a 23-year-old woman known by the alias ‘The Doll’, has been arrested in Barrancabermeja in connection with a series of brutal gangland murders, including the execution of her former lover. Also referred to as ‘La Muneca’, Ojeda Rodriguez is suspected of playing a central role in the killings, allegedly orchestrated by the notorious Los de la M gang, as reported by Libertad Digital.
The Doll was arrested for leading a group of hitmen involved in several murders. She was taken into custody after the July 23 ambush killing of her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus, in Piedecuesta. Rodriguez reportedly called him to settle a financial dispute, only for him to be shot dead by two men on a motorcycle, allegedly under her orders.
Rodriguez reportedly carried out killings ordered by the Los de la M gang. At the time of her arrest, she was expanding her criminal operations, leading a group of hitmen. Her arrest followed the ambush murder of her ex-boyfriend on July 23 in Piedecuesta, a rural area in Colombia.
Rodriguez was arrested alongside 24-year-old Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, alias ‘Gorda Sicaria’, and an accomplice named ‘Leopoldo’. During the arrests, authorities seized a revolver and a 9mm pistol, and police are investigating whether these weapons were used in recent killings.
Ex-Boyfriend Killed on 'The Doll's' Orders
The Doll allegedly called her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus, to meet and settle a money dispute, only for him to be killed by two men on a motorcycle, reportedly on her orders. Rodriguez and accomplice Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, alias ‘Gorda Sicaria’, were arrested, along with another accomplice, ‘Leopoldo’. During the arrests, police seized a revolver and a 9mm pistol and are investigating whether these weapons were used in recent killings.

Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera of the Magdalena Medio Police stated that the arrests of 'La Muneca' and 'Leopoldo' have brought a period of calm to the region. He added that these arrests represent progress in dismantling the criminal groups behind recent homicides.
