While providing details, the nanny stated that the incident happened in February 2022 in New Zealand. She stated that the author sexually assaulted her in a backyard bathtub. She further stated that the author even assaulted her under the blankets on a hotel room bed. She said that the incident happened while his son was busy playing with an iPad in the same room where they stayed.

"He (Gaiman) said, 'Call me 'master,' and I'll come.' He said, 'Be a good girl. You're a good little girl.'," she was quoted as saying by the New York Magazine. The reports suggest that most of the women were in their 20s while these incidents happened, adding that the author was in his 40s or even older at that time. Earlier in July 2024, five women accused the author of similar charges. The much-discussed case was released in a six-part podcast series called Master by Tortoise Media.
