Kamala Harris conceded defeat to Trump in the nail-biting battle for the White House. In her post-election address, Harris took a subtle dig at Trump, saying the administration would ensure a peaceful transfer of power, indirectly referring to Trump’s refusal to vacate the White House following his defeat in the 2020 election.

Biden also held a phone call with President-elect Donald Trump, congratulating him on the victory. According to the statement released by the White House, Biden invited Trump for a meeting at the White House to discuss a peaceful transfer of power. “President Biden expressed his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and emphasized the importance of working to bring the country together,” the White House said in a statement.
