US-Iran War: US President Donald Trump on Thursday revealed that the mystery 'present' from Iran he had mentioned earlier this week was 10 'boats of oil'. He said that Iran allowed ten oil tankers to transit the Strait of Hormuz as a 'present' to show it was serious about negotiations to end the war.

"It was a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money, and I'm not going to tell you what the present is, but it was a very significant prize." Reuters quoted Trump as saying.

He also described Iranians as 'lousy fighters but great negotiators' amid peace talks with Tehran to end the Middle East conflict. He made the remarks during a cabinet meeting, his first since the United States entered the war with Iran.

At the same time, Trump also insisted that US military operations are 'extremely' ahead of schedule, citing an original timeframe of four to six weeks for the war that began last month after the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iran.

Trump Says 'US Operations Extremely Ahead Of Schedule'

Speaking at the cabinet meeting, the US President said, "We estimated it would take approximately four to six weeks to achieve our mission. Twenty-six days in, we are extremely, really, a lot ahead of schedule."

Trump Warns Iran To 'Get Serious Before It Is Too Late'

Earlier in the day, US President warned Iran to 'get serious soon, before it is too late' about US' 15-point peace proposal to end the conflict, a plan that Iranian leaders rejected on Wednesday, March 25. Trump also claimed Iran was 'begging' for a deal with the United States, even as Tehran does not publicly express willingness to negotiate.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, "They are 'begging' us to make a deal… and yet they publicly state that they are only 'looking at our proposal'. WRONG!!!"

"They'd better get serious soon, before it is too late… there is NO TURNING BACK, and it won’t be pretty!" he added.

Trump Says Iran's First-Level Leadership Is Gone

Trump reiterated that Iran's 'first-level leadership is gone' and claimed Tehran would have been armed with nuclear weapons had the United States not declared war.

"Iran’s first-level leadership is gone. Iran would have had nuclear weapon without war," Trump added.

In another post on Truth Social, Trump targeted NATO for not being supportive during the war against Iran.

"Nato nations have done absolutely nothing to help with the lunatic nation… of Iran," Trump said. He further warned NATO, saying he would "never forget this very important point in time".
