Best 125cc Scooters in India: Diwali is typically an occasion when people in India make up their minds to purchase a new vehicle, driven by the cultural significance of acquiring new items during this auspicious festival. Several individuals consider buying a two-wheeler or four-wheeler, taking advantage of attractive discounts and offers. However, 2025 is special as the recent GST 2.0 revision, coupled with festive offers, has created an exceptionally favourable market for buyers to acquire new vehicles at highly competitive prices. Read below as we bring you a list of the 5 best 125cc scooters for you to consider this Diwali:

Honda Activa 125, Starts at Rs 88,339

The first scooter on our list is the Honda Activa, which is a household name across India. After the GST 2.0 implementation, the Activa 125 is priced from Rs 88,339 for the DLX to Rs 91,983 for the Smart variant, reflecting a decrease of up to Rs 8,259. The prices are ex-showroom. 

The Honda Activa 125 is a trusted choice for those seeking a smooth and reliable commuting experience. It gets tubeless tyres, a side-stand engine cut-off, engine auto start/stop, and a 4.2-inch Bluetooth-enabled TFT. Powering the scooter is a 123.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine producing 7.98bhp and 10.5Nm.

Suzuki Access 125, Starts at Rs 77,284

While the Suzuki Access 125 also offer a smooth riding experience, it edges out the Honda Activa 125 when it comes to handling, practicality, and power output. The Access 125's engine generates 8.2bhp and 10.2Nm, but the scooter lacks start-stop tech. It gets a 24.4-litre underseat storage area, with two front utility pockets and two utility hooks. Honda offers 18-litre underseat storage with one utility pocket and two hooks. 

The Access also offers a digital TFT dash with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Prices start at Rs 77,284 for the Drum variant and go up to Rs 93,877 for the Ride Connect TFT Edition. 

TVS Jupiter 125, Starts at Rs 75,600

Next up is the Jupiter, TVS' flagship scooter. A close rival to the Honda Activa 125, the Jupiter 125 offers best-in-class 33-litre underseat storage space. The Jupiter 125 features a 124.8cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing 7.98bhp and 10.5Nm. It also gets iGo Assist, which boosts the engine outputs to 8.38bhp and 11.5Nm, respectively.

Features include a silent electric start system and a Bluetooth-enabled TFT dash (SmartXonnect variant). The scooter ranges from Rs 75,600 for the Drum-Alloy variant to Rs 86,400 for the SmartXonnect variant. The prices are ex-showroom.

TVS Ntorq 125, Starts at Rs 80,900

For those seeking both performance and practicality, the Ntorq 125 is one of the nameplates in the sporty commuter segment. Its 124.8, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine is rated to produce 9.17bhp and 10.6Nm, but the Race XP and XT variants churn out 10bhp. The Ntorq 125's app-based connected features include voice assist and service reminders. Unlike the rival Xoom 125, the Ntorq gets two ride modes (Street and Race). 

TVS offers an LCD dash with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, a top speed recorder, and a lap timer. The scooter is available in a price range of Rs 80,900-Rs 99,800; all prices are ex-showroom.

Hero Xoom 125, Starts at Rs 80,494

Last but not least, the Hero Xoom 125 is the only scooter among the lot that gets 14-inch wheels at both ends. A close rival to the Ntorq 125, the Xoom 125 draws power from a 124.6cc air-cooled engine, delivering 9.56bhp and 10.4Nm. Apart from the power output, the Xoom 125 also has an edge over the Ntorq in terms of wheelbase (1,327mm) and ground clearance (164mm).  

Despite offering segment-first features like an LED projector headlight and illuminated switchgear, the Xoom 125 misses out on app-based features. The display is a Bluetooth-enabled digital unit. For the Xoom 125, you have to shell out at least Rs 80,494 (ex-showroom).
