Ather Energy, an Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer brand, has announced that it will be reintroducing transparent panels for their popular offering - Ather 450X electric scooter. Previously, Ather used to retail a Collector's Edition of the Ather 450X with translucent panels and a unique paint design. However, this time, the panels will be transparent. It is not yet known whether the 450S model will also get these transparent panels or not.

The Collector's Edition was launched in 2020 and featured a sleek metallic black body with a high-gloss finish. It included red accents inspired by motorsports, a racing stripe on the front apron and red detailing on the exposed frame. The wheels sported a red decal and the unique translucent panels were manufactured with automotive-grade plastic to make sure its structurally strong. Additionally, the instrument cluster had a customised user interface. 

The Ather 450X is available in six colour schemes - Cosmic Black, Salt Green, Space Grey, Still White, True Red and Lunar Grey. The Ather 450S is available in four colour schemes Cosmic Black, Salt Green, Space Grey and Still White. 

In recent news, Ather Energy ventured into the automotive industry of Nepal and opened its first international retail outlet in Kathmandu. Post the inauguration of the first retail outlet, Ather Energy is now gearing up to open another outlet in Kathmandu, just weeks after the opening of the first one. Ather currently plans on selling only the 450X in Nepal.

To open its first retail outlet in Nepal, Ather Energy collaborated with Vaidya Energy after the brand’s announcement to enter the automotive segment of Nepal. The company has reported an enthusiastic response for the Ather 450X electric scooter, particularly from customers in Kathmandu. To further strengthen its presence in Nepal’s two-wheeler market, Ather plans to inaugurate its second retail outlet in Nepal within the next month.
