Audi Q8 Facelift Launched Globally, India Launch Expected Next Year; Check Engine Specs, Features Here

German luxury car manufacturer Audi has launched the Q8 facelift for all global markets. The Audi Q8 is the brand’s flagship coupe SUV that gets design modifications and new features in the new facelift. Additionally, Audi has also tuned the engine on the SQ8 which is the performance oriented variant of the Q8 SUV. It is expected that the facelifted Audi Q8 will be launched for the Indian market in the upcoming months.

Audi Q8 Facelift - Design Modifications

The Audi Q8 facelift design elements like vertical slats have been added to the octagonal grille. On the base exterior, they are grouped in the shape of a teardrop while on the S-line exterior package and the SQ8 TFSI, they are shaped like an L. This has been done to help people distinguish the Q8 as the flagship model from Audi. 

Audi's design is now simpler with fewer decorative elements. The front bumper region, door attachment trim and diffuser of the base model are coloured differently from those of the S line exterior package, S model and base version to make them easily distinguishable. Every Audi Q8 has a brand-new tailpipe and a premium quality exhaust system. The S-line exterior package which resembles the exteriors of the SQ8 is distinguished by its side air intake located in the front bumper.

The headlamp unit of the Audi Q8 gets an extra laser light and digital LED DRLs with HD Matrix LED technology. At the back, a light bar is connected to the new OLED rear tail lamps and the new logo has been designed by taking inspiration from the Q8 e-tron. The front spoiler on the SQ8 has been modified and the rear diffuser has been replaced with outside mirrors boasting an aluminium finish. Moreover, there are also Black and Black Plus Optics exterior design packages for the SQ8.

Audi SQ8 - New Engine Specs 

Talking about the new powertrain configuration on the Audi SQ8, it gets a 4.0-litre TFSI V8 engine with a maximum power output of 500 bhp and a peak torque of 770 Nm. It is coupled with Audi's Quattro permanent all-wheel drive technology and an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox. Audi claims that the SQ8 can achieve a top speed of 250 km/h and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.1-seconds.
