Bajaj Pulsar 400 - Engine

It is likely that the new Pulsar variant could be powered by the engine borrowed from the Dominar 400. This unit has been derived from the engine block of the previous generation KTM 390 Duke. This 373 cc engine has been extensively reworked by Bajaj to prioritise tractability over high-revving performance, aligning with the preferences of the Indian market. In the Dominar 400, this engine is capable of delivering a power output of 39 bhp and a torque output of 35 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch.

Bajaj Pulsar 400 - Hardware

It is speculated that the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 400 could share the perimeter frame from the Pulsar NS200. Furthermore, the motorcycle is expected to be equipped with disc brakes on both ends, accompanied by a dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Suspension duties are likely to be handled by upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear for a smooth and controlled ride experience.
