Bharat MotoGP 2023 begins today at the Buddh International Circuit and Ola Electric is the official industry partner of the event. Therefore, Ola Electric will be displaying the Diamondhead which is their electric superbike concept. The Diamondhead concept was first showcased at Ola’s launch of the S1 series on Independence Day 2023 along with three other concept bikes - Cruiser, Adventure and Roadster. 

Ola Diamondhead 

Appearance - The Ola Diamondhead electric bike showcases a striking, futuristic design with distinctive features including a diamond-shaped panel with integrated lighting, an expansive windscreen, and broad clip-on handlebars. The bike's front suspension has an unconventional, parallel-to-the-ground stance. Notably, it boasts a huge swingarm in the front indicating that it has a unique hub-centered steering system, a belt drive mechanism and a covered rear-wheel for better aerodynamic efficiency distinguishing it from conventional motorcycles. The bike unveils its hidden digital display with a retracting plastic cover when it's switched on. With dual front disc brakes and its standout appearance, the Diamondhead aims to be a performance-oriented sportbike in Ola's lineup.

Powertrain - Powertrain details about the Diamondhead are limited but it is anticipated that this sportsbike will outperform the Ultraviolette F77 which is currently the sportiest electric motorcycle available in India. The Diamondhead will be positioned as the brand’s flagship offering and will come at an expensive price tag. 

Ola S1 Series 

Ola’s current line-up vehicles of electric scooters include the Ola S1X, Ola S1 X+, Ola S1 Air and Ola S1 Pro. These electric scooters are available from a starting price of Rs 89,999, Rs 1,09,999, Rs 1,19,999 and Rs 1,47,499 respectively. In terms of  performance and driving range, the S1 Pro offers a claimed range of 195 km and the S1 Air can travel up to 125 km after being fully charged.
