BMW F 450 GS Launch: TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad have recently achieved a significant production milestone, having rolled off over 2 lakh units under their long-running strategic alliance since 2013. This marks a major accomplishment in their storied journey, with the 310cc common motorcycles – the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS, and the G 310 RR – being sold in over 100 global markets. The first two, however, are no longer available in India.
BMW F 450 GS: Production Begins at Hosur Plant
Nevertheless, TVS-BMW is poised to launch the new F 450 GS in the Indian market, with the production of the latest model under collaboration already underway at TVS' Hosur facility. Recently unveiled in a production-spec form at EICMA 2025, the BMW F 450 GS will assume the role of the entry-level model in BMW's GS portfolio, ushering in a fresh era for the illustrious GS heritage.

BMW F 450 GS: Launch at IBW 2025?
The official timeline has yet to be disclosed, but the upcoming F 450 GS is expected to be launched at India Bike Week 2025. With production set to take place at TVS' Hosur plant, the bike is likely to be priced aggressively, making it an attractive offer during its introductory phase. It will go against the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 390 Adventure, and the Benelli TRK 502.
The India-spec F 450 GS will feature the company's 'smooth-running and characterful' parallel-twin engine with a displacement capacity of 420cc, producing 47bhp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm.
