Bugatti Tourbillon Revealed: Bugatti has introduced its latest hypercar, the Tourbillon, which succeeds the Chiron with a fresh design and groundbreaking powertrain, setting new standards in the hypercar segment. The Bugatti Tourbillon is the brand’s first model to feature a hybrid V16 engine, replacing the W16 engine that powered both the Chiron and its predecessor, the Veyron. Bugatti plans to produce only 250 units of the Tourbillon, with each model priced starting at €3,800,000 (Rs 34 crores). The name ‘Tourbillon’ refers to a mechanism in high-end watches that helps maintain time accuracy, highlighting Bugatti’s dedication to precision and craftsmanship.

Bugatti Tourbillon - Engine

The new Bugatti Tourbillon 8.3-litre naturally aspirated V16 engine produces 1000 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. Combined with three electric motors, the total power output reaches a remarkable 1800 bhp and 2300 Nm of torque. This powerful setup is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Bugatti claims the Tourbillon can accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in just 2 seconds and from 0-299 km/hr in 10 seconds. The top speed is said to be 445 km/hr, though Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac hinted that it might be even higher.

Bugatti Tourbillon - Design

Talking about the design, Bugatti Tourbillon is entirely new with no parts borrowed from the Chiron. The front features a large horseshoe-shaped grille flanked by quad LED headlamps. The car's signature spine runs along its center and the ‘Bugatti Line’ has a new interpretation on the sides. At the rear, the car sports full-width LED tail lights with ‘Bugatti’ lettering at the center and a massive diffuser with quad exhaust tips at the bottom.

Bugatti Tourbillon - Interior

Inside, the Tourbillon offers a refreshed cabin and dashboard layout with numerous analogue dials and controls. The gauge cluster is inspired by the mechanical movement in high-end watches. While a small display with Apple CarPlay connectivity is included, it remains hidden in the dashboard and appears only upon the driver’s request. A unique feature is the steering wheel, where the hub and gauges stay stationary while only the wheel itself rotates.
