While Citroen has yet to confirm the powertrain details for the Basalt, speculations suggest it may inherit the same engine from the C3 Aircross, consistent with the C-Cubed program's approach. This engine is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing a power output of 108 bhp 205 Nm of torque when paired with the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
