Citroen India has announced that their upcoming SUV, C3 Aircross will open for bookings from September 15. The official launch of the SUV is scheduled to take place in October. The bookings for the car can either be made on the brand’s official website or through its dealerships across the country. The new compact SUV shares the C-Cubed platform with the C3 hatchback, offering flexibility with both 5 and 7 seats configurations.

Citroen C3 Aircross - Appearance

The C3 Aircross embodies the classic Citroen SUV look, showcasing the twin slat grille with a central Chevron pattern logo. Notable features include halogen headlamps complemented by twin LED DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels, and distinctive C-shaped tail lamps. It also boasts robust cladding, dual-tone body colour choices, and practical roof rails.

Citroen C3 Aircross - Cabin

The interior of the Citroen C3 Aircross features a 10.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Citroen Connect integration. The audio system comprises four speakers and two tweeters, complete with steering-wheel-mounted controls. Additionally, the SUV will include a personal assistant and offer 35 intelligent connected features. Buyers can choose from two dashboard colour options: Anodised Bronze and Anodised Grey.

Additional features include manual AC controls along with a heater, power windows for all four doors, featuring one-touch auto-down functionality, remote keyless entry, a front 12v socket, adjustable steering tilt, a height-adjustable driver's seat, rear defogger, front and rear armrests, a colour display for the instrument cluster, and more. 

Citroen C3 Aircross - Safety Features

The top-end trim of the C3 Aircross prioritises safety with a range of features, including electronic stability program (ESP), ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, high-speed alert and a rear-view camera. Furthermore, standard safety elements consist of dual airbags, seat belt reminders, and rear parking sensors.

Citroen C3 Aircross - Engine Configuration

The Citroen C3 Aircross is equipped with the same 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine found in the C3 hatchback. This engine delivers identical power and torque figures, producing 108 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a new 6-speed manual transmission as the standard gearbox option.

The C3 Aircross will face competition in the Indian midsize SUV segment, going up against several established contenders such as the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda HR-V, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser, the popular Hyundai Creta, and the Kia Seltos.
