Ducati DesertX Discovery Revealed: Ducati has launched a new variant of its DesertX motorcycle globally. This new variant is called the DesertX Discovery. The Ducati DesertX Discovery brings a host of enhancements that make it well-suited for touring and off-road adventures. The DesertX Discovery is the third variant following the standard DesertX and the DesertX Rally.

Ducati DesertX Discovery - Design 

Talking about its design, the DesertX Discovery stands out with its new black and red livery, adorned with replaceable decals. Additionally, the bike has been fitted with a touring windscreen, which helps reduce wind resistance and rider fatigue. For convenience, the Discovery variant includes a centre stand, which makes parking and repairing a puncture easier. Since the bike is designed for touring, it comes with aluminium cases for extra storage and a subframe for added support.

Ducati DesertX Discovery - Features 

In terms of features, a notable addition in the DesertX Discovery is the turn-by-turn navigation system, which comes with a five-year licence. This is particularly useful for long-distance touring. Safety features include a bull bar to protect the fuel tank and water pump, a radiator guard to shield against debris during off-road adventures and a bash plate to safeguard the engine. Heated grips are also provided, making cold-weather rides more comfortable.

Ducati DesertX Discovery - Engine Specs 

Coming to its engine specs, the DesertX Discovery is powered by the same 937cc Testastretta engine found in other DesertX models. This engine delivers a power output of 108 bhp and 92 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring Ducati Quick Shift, which allows for smooth up-and-down gear changes and a slipper clutch to prevent wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.
