Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has recently brought in the new 2024 DesertX Rally model. As the name suggests, the 2024 DesertX Rally is an off-roader with updated features to increase its off-roading capabilities.
Ducati DesertX Rally - Design
Talking about the design, the DesertX Rally features a new front mudguard, split brake line setup, machined fork clamps, adjustable brake and shift pedals, and an exclusive Iron Giant livery exclusively designed for the DesertX Rally.

Ducati DesertX Rally - Hardware Specs
The 2024 DesertX Rally incorporates a suspension system inspired by professional cross and enduro bike technologies. Its front suspension consists of 48mm KYB closed cartridge forks with adjustable compression and rebound, offering 250 mm of wheel travel with Kashima-coated fork tubes and DLC-treated sliders. At the rear, an adjustable shock absorber with a larger piston provides 240 mm of wheel travel, coupled with an Ohlins steering damper attached to the handlebar. The DesertX Rally boasts 280 mm ground clearance and features wheels with machined hubs, carbon steel spokes, and Takasago Excel rims with inner tubes. Despite these larger suspension components, its dry weight is just 1kg higher than the standard model.
Ducati DesertX Rally - Performance
The Ducati DesertX Rally retains the same 937 cc Ducati Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder engine featuring desmodromic distribution as the standard model. This engine delivers 108 bhp and 92Nm of torque. The motorcycle offers six riding modes - Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Enduro, and Rally, each including cornering ABS, traction control, and wheelie control. An optional 8-litre tank can be installed to increase the range by nearly 40%. For improved performance, a Termignoni racing exhaust is available, providing a 7% increase in power and torque.
Ducati DesertX Rally - Features
The Ducati DesertX Rally gets a vertically-oriented 5-inch colour TFT display which is fully compatible with the Ducati Multimedia System allowing convenient smartphone connectivity. The motorcycle also includes a utility bar for attaching a satellite navigation system. Optional accessories like LED spotlights and heated grips are also available. For off-road protection, steel tube engine guards are included to safeguard the tank and engine.
Ducati DesertX Rally - Price
Specific pricing details have not been disclosed but if Ducati decides to launch the DesertX Rally in India, it could potentially be priced around Rs 20 lakh considering the standard DesertX model is currently priced at Rs 17.91 lakh (ex-showroom).
