ICE vs EV: Electric vehicles have been witnessing a significant rise in the country in recent years. Sales of electric vehicles in the country have also been increasing rapidly owing to the various subsidies granted by the government. The Indian government has been rapidly pushing for EV adoption in the country to promote sustainable transportation. However, many car enthusiasts do not favour this active adoption of electric vehicles due to their battery powered nature. Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles 

Internal Combustion Engine powered vehicles have been the basic means of transportation for years all together now. Many car enthusiasts in today’s world prefer ICE vehicles due to factors like the sound of the engine and the driving experience of an engine powered by car. However, if we have to talk about the pros and cons of an ICE powered vehicle when compared to an EV. A significant pro is that ICE powered cars are comparatively cheaper compared to an electric vehicle. Similarly, a con for an ICE vehicle is that even though it is cheaper, it bears a large amount of running costs to refuel the vehicle at regular intervals. 

Electric Vehicles 

Electric vehicles have recently only been surging in popularity due to constant efforts by manufacturers and the Indian government. Addressing the pros and cons of electric vehicles, the EVs are comparatively priced higher than conventional engine cars, however, they require very low operating costs. These lower operational costs are due to the fact that EVs do not require any refuelling and therefore do not incur any additional cost.

To conclude, both ICE cars and EVs are two opposite sides of the coin. Electric cars are more sustainable means of transport than engine powered cars. However, many experts have been questioning whether they are actually a viable alternative to conventional engine cars, considering the issues related to battery packs equipped in EVs.
