Mahindra Thar Earth Edition Launched In India Starting Rs 15.40 Lakh; What's New

Mahindra Thar Earth Edition: Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading automobile manufacturer has launched a new variant of its popular off-road SUV, the Mahindra Thar in India. Mahindra Thar Earth Edition draws inspiration from the Thar Desert. The Earth Edition has been launched in four variants and will be based on the LX Hard Top 4X4 trim of the Mahindra Thar. Mahindra Thar Earth Edition has been launched at a starting price of Rs 15.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra Thar Earth Edition - Price 

Mahindra Thar Earth Edition has been launched in four variants - Petrol MT, Petrol AT, Diesel MT and Diesel AT. Prices for these four variants are Rs 15.40 lakh, Rs 16.99 lakh, Rs 16.15 lakh and Rs 17.60 lakh, respectively. Please note that all these prices mentioned are ex-showroom. Furthermore, interested customers also have the option to choose accessories such as customised front and rear armrests, floor mats and a comfort kit.

Mahindra Thar Earth Edition - Exterior Design

On the exterior, the new Thar Earth Edition features a Desert Fury satin matte paint, dune-inspired decals on the rear fender and doors, Earth Edition badging on the B-pillars, matte black badges and silver alloy wheels giving it a rugged off-roader appearance. 

Mahindra Thar Earth Edition - Interior 

Moving inside the new Thar Earth Edition, it boasts a black and light beige dual-tone theme  with dune designs on the headrests, Thar branding on the doors and dark chrome accents throughout the cabin. In addition to this, there are Desert Fury-coloured inserts for the AC vents, centre console and steering wheel. Moreover, Mahindra has also stated that each unit of the special Thar Earth Edition will come with a unique numbered decorative VIN plate.

Mahindra Thar Earth Edition - Engine Specs 

In terms of engine specs, the new Mahindra Thar Earth Edition will continue to be equipped with the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. Both these engines produce a power output of 152 bhp and 132 bhp, respectively while producing a constant torque output of 300 Nm. For transmission duties, they will be paired with a six-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission.
