Kinetic DX Electric Scooter: Kinetic Watts & Volts (KWV), under its parent company Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL), is set to commence customer deliveries of the much-awaited DX electric scooter by the end of November 2025. This comes after Kinetic received a strong customer response since its re-entry into the Indian market with the launch of the DX. Kinetic had opened its first EV showroom in Pune, India, in October 2025, marking the start of a new chapter in accessible, aspirational, and sustainable electric mobility for India, according to the company.

When the DX was launched in India in July 2025, Kinetic was expected to commence deliveries in September, but a delay in homologation caused a pause in deliveries. That said, with the company securing the ARAI homologation certificate for its sought-after electric scooter, it is ready to heat up the competition in India's electric scooter space.

Both variants get a usable 2.6kWh LFP battery paired to a hub-mounted motor. Kinetic claims an estimated range of 116km for the DX+ and 102km for the DX. The scooter is limited to 90km/h (DX+). Riders get three modes to choose from: Range, Power, and Turbo. Kinetic also offers a reverse mode for park assist. Other highlights include an 8.8-inch dash, Easy Charge, Bluetooth connectivity, and hill hold assist.

Kinetic Expansion Plans

By FY2026-27, KEL aims to deliver 60,000 units of the DX with an estimated revenue of Rs 600 crore from the KWV alone. It also plans to establish a total of 200 dealerships across India, with 5 to come up in November itself.

In the short term, Kinetic targets sales of 5,000 DX scooters by March 2026, contributing about Rs 50 crore to KEL's consolidated sales. It has already appointed dealers in Pune, Mumbai, Baroda, Surat, Indore, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, reflecting the brand's commitment to establishing itself as a significant player in the EV market, dominated by the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak Electric, and the Ola S1 Pro.
