Mahindra XEV 9S Launch: Mahindra is gearing up to unveil its much-awaited XEV 9S electric SUV on November 27 at its 'Scream Electric' event in Bengaluru. In the buildup to that, the brand has been drip-feeding us with teasers of the upcoming 7-seat EV for India, and the latest one reveals a significant interior detail. While the brand has yet to disclose the launch date, some market reports suggest that the price announcement for the EV could happen on the date of its unveiling.

Mahindra XEV 9S: New Teaser Shows Individual Rear Screens

The latest teaser shows us individual infotainment screens for rear-seat occupants, in addition to a triple-screen layout and a two-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated 'butterfly' emblem. Interestingly, the preview also reveals a screen mirroring function, which replicates the same content from two of the triple screens up front.

Previous teasers have confirmed a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver's seat (with a memory function), a sliding second row, an electronic parking brake, a 'Boss' mode, and a Harman Kardon sound system.

Mahindra XEV 9S: Expected Price, Features, Powertrain

Convenience and safety features, such as dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, Dolby Atmos, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a Level 2 ADAS suite, are expected to be offered.

Underneath the exterior, the INGLO platform-based XEV 9S is expected to come with the same battery options as the other two electric SUVs: 59kWh and 79kWh, with ranges of 656km and 542km, respectively. Both are MIDC figures. An all-wheel-drive powertrain setup is likely to be added at a later stage.

With its first three-row, born-electric SUV, Mahindra could target a price range of Rs 21 lakh to Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon arrival, the XEV 9S will not have any direct rivals, but could serve as an alternative to the BYD eMAX 7 and the Mahindra XEV 9e.
