However, the hatchback segment remains one of the most popular segments in the country, and it remained in the second position in terms of sales in October 2025. Maruti Suzuki Alto K10
Maruti Suzuki, the largest car manufacturer in India, introduced the Alto nameplate in 2000, and it has remained a popular hatchback ever since. The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 remained in fifth position in October 2025 in terms of sales, and a total of 6,210 units of the hatchback were sold the previous month.

The Tata Tiago is the most affordable offering by the brand in the country, and it was the fourth most sold hatchback in October 2025. A total of 8,850 units of the Tata Tiago were sold in October 2025. The prices for the Tata Tiago start from Rs 4.57 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Swift
