National Lok Adalat 2023: The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) will be organising the National Lok Adalat on October 8, 2023. Though all types of pending and pre-litigation civil and criminal compoundable cases are settled in the National Lok Adalat, most of them are traffic challans.
According to the Delhi Traffic Police, all cases of challans issued for any violation of traffic rules while driving in the national capital will be settled on October 8. These include challans for both commercial and private vehicles. If you have a pending challan, then you can appear before the magistrate during the National Lok Adalat on October 8 and can get the challan waived off or reduced.
When National Lok Adalat 2023 will be held?
The DSLSA will be organising the National Lok Adalat 2023 under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority on October 8, 2023. The National Lok Adalat will start at 10 am and will continue till 4 pm.

Where the National Lok Adalat will be held?
You can get a complete waiver or can get your challans reduced at Delhi High Court, Rouse Avenue Court, Patiala House Court, Tis Hazari Court, Karkardooma Court, Dwarka and Saket Courts.
National Lok Adalat 2023 challan waiver details:
The National Lok Adalat 2023, scheduled for October 8, will have 170 Lok Adalat benches. Each bench will settle a maximum of 1,000 challan cases taking the total to 1,70,000 challan cases, which will be settled on October 8. However, only compoundable challans pending till June 30, 2023, in virtual courts will be taken up in the National Lok Adalat on October 8, 2023. The challan slips can be downloaded from the official website of Delhi Traffic Police.
How to download challan slips?
- Litigants can download their challan slips directly from the official website of Delhi Traffic Police at traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat. The link has been activated today and the link will remain active till the time the pre-decided number of challans (1,000 for every bench) are downloaded.

- Apart from this, Delhi Traffic Police has also shared two QR codes from its official X handle, which can be scanned to download the challan slip along with the downloading information.
How to get your challan settled at National Lok Adalat 2023
- After getting their challan slips, litigants or their lawyers will have to visit the particular court (as per their choice) on the day of National Lok Adalat and produce the challan slip before the concerned Lok Adalat judge for disposal/settlement of their challans.
- The Court Complex, Court Number and timing of Lok Adalat where the challan can be disposed of will be mentioned on the Challan slip. It is mandatory to take a printout of the slip to settle the challan. The facility to take print out will not be available on the court premises.
