Toyota Hilux Durability:  Toyota is known worldwide for the reliability of its engines and the durability of its vehicles. A similar case was recently shared on the social media platform ‘X’ where a Toyota Hilux was taken to service by the owner as it completed almost a million Km. The vehicle belongs to Johan Koen from South Africa, and its odometer reads 9,99,770 kilometres when it reached the service centre.

Toyota Hilux: The Model And Engine

The Hilux seen in the photo is from 2007, and it is a silver coloured Adventure SR5 variant. It is quite different from the current model and features bigger square-shaped headlamps with indicators, an old grille with bigger vents for the radiator, and a huge bull bar at the front with an LED light strip. The Toyota Hilux Adventure SR5 is offered with a 4.0-litre V6 engine under the hood, which churns out 238 hp and 386 Nm of torque, and it is currently not offered in India.

Toyota Hilux: What We Get In India

Toyota Hilux is known for its rugged performance, durability, and reliability. It is offered in India with a 6.0-litre diesel mill paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox, generating 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The brand offers its pickup truck in a total of 4 variants in the country: STD, High, Black Edition, and High AT, while the first one is the base variant, the last one is top of the top-of-the-line model. The enduring pickup truck by Toyota is priced between Rs 30.4 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) and Rs 37.9 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
