Piaggio Ape Diesel 3 Wheeler: Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (PVPL), a subsidiary of Italy-based Piaggio Group, has launched two diesel cargo three-wheelers in the Indian market – the Ape Xtra Bada 700 and the Ape Xtra 600. With demand for higher load carriers increasing across metros and semi-urban regions, the company aims to strengthen its leadership in the last-mile cargo mobility segment. The newly introduced diesel cargo three-wheelers address not only the demand for higher power and payload, but also offer better comfort, according to Piaggio.
Piaggio Diesel Cargo 3-Wheelers: Price, Availability and Specs
The Ape Xtra 600 and the Ape Xtra Bada 700 go on sale in the country in November 2025. The former is priced at Rs 2.88 lakh, while the latter costs Rs 3.45 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom, Maharashtra.
The Ape Xtra 600 is designed to meet the needs of those seeking reliable and efficient options for intra-city and semi-urban mobility. It comes with a new 600 DI diesel engine that claims to deliver improved mileage, better gradeability, and stronger load‑carrying performance.

On the other hand, the Ape Xtra Bada 700 is the company's flagship model built on an all new platform. It also offers industry-first features redefining the cargo 3-wheeler category. These include India's first 7-feet cargo deck and the highest-in-segment payload capacity of 750 kg. The flagship cargo 3-wheeler is equipped with a 700 DI diesel engine and features a newly designed cabin, a 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster, and 12-inch radial tyres. Piaggio also offers an optional rear sensor to assist with reversing the vehicle. Moreover, a 5-year industry warranty is attached to the 3-wheeler.
