Quantum Energy, Indofast Energy Launch Affordable Battery-Swappable Electric Scooter: Price, Range And More

Indofast Bziness XS EV: Battery-swapping solutions provider Indofast Energy has launched its Bziness XS electric scooter, in partnership with Hyderabad-based EV firm Quantum Energy. Priced at Rs 57,750 (introductory, ex-showroom) under BaaS (Battery as a Service) and supported by Indofast's swapping network, the Bziness XS is one of India's most affordable electric vehicles. Indofast has customised the e-scooter for Indian road conditions, while aiming to cater to daily commuters, fleet operators, and gig workers.

Indofast Bziness XS: Addresses Upfront Costs, Promises Zero Charging Time

Indofast offers energy plans starting at Rs 999 per month, with EMI options from Rs 1,499, enabling customers to eliminate high upfront battery costs and range anxiety. With customers exchanging a depleted battery pack for a fully charged one in under 2 minutes, Indofast's extensive network of 1,100+ battery swap stations promises zero charging wait times.

Indofast Bziness XS: Range, Top Speed

The battery capacity hasn't yet been revealed, but Indofast claims a 71km range and a 44km/h top speed. Indofast hopes to deploy 1,000 XS electric scooters through its network in F2025-26, with plans to reach 10,000 over the subsequent 3-year period. As Indofast expands its network and offerings, it will be interesting to see how the Bziness XS scooter contributes to the growth of electric mobility in India, particularly beyond fleet operators.
