Royal Enfield launched the most anticipated motorcycle of the year, the Himalayan 450 on November 24 for the Indian markets. The Himalayan 450 has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The popular motorcycle manufacturer has now commenced the deliveries for the RE Himalayan 450. The motorcycle is available in three variants - Base, Pass and Summit. The only distinguishing factor in all these three variants is the colour of the motorcycle. The Himalayan 450 Base variant is available at a price of Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom), the Himalayan 450 Pass variant has been priced at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Himalayan 450 Summit variant is available at a price of Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom). These introductory prices are only valid till December 31.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 - Engine 

The new Himalayan 450 is powered by Royal Enfield’s Sherpa 450 engine which is a 451 cc liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing a power output of 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. The Sherpa 450 is paired to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip and assist clutch. 

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 - Design 

The Himalayan 450 is being offered in five colours across its three variants. The Base variant is being offered in a Kaza Brown colour scheme, the mid-spec Pass variant is being offered in Slate Himalayan Slat or Slate Poppy Blue and the top-spec Summit variant is being offered in  either Kamet White or Hanle Black. 

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 - Features 

Talking about the features in the Himalayan 450, it is equipped with advanced features such as a segment-first TFT display with bluetooth connectivity. The Himalayan 450 is also available with three riding modes - Eco, Performance with rear ABS on and Performance with rear ABS off. Additionally, all lighting units on the Himalayan 450 are LED setups.
