Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 vs BMW G 310 GS: Royal Enfield launched the much anticipated Himalayan 450 for the Indian market on November 24 at the RE Motoverse 2023. The prices for the new adventure tourer were revealed at the official launch of the Himalayan 450. In addition to this, Royal Enfield has commenced the deliveries of the Himalayan 450 from today. The new Himalayan 450 competes with other ADV motorcycles in the segment like the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS and Yezdi Adventure. Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
Price - Three variants of the new Himalayan 450 are available - Base, Pass and Summit. All three variants have been launched at introductory price of Rs 2.69 lakh, Rs 2.74 lakh and Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
Engine Specs - The new Himalayan 450 is powered by RE’s new Sherpa 450 engine which is a 451.65 cc liquid-cooled engine that churns a power output of 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. It is coupled with a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch.
BMW G 310 GS
Price - The BMW G 310 GS is available in a single Standard variant in India. The BMW G 310 GS Standard is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.30 lakh.
Engine Specs - The BMW G 310 GS derives its power from a BS6-compliant 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that is capable of producing a power output of 34 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. This mill has been paired to a 6-speed gearbox unit along with a slip-and-assist clutch.
