Simple Energy, a Bangalore based electric two-wheeler company has announced that it will be launching a new electric scooter for the Indian market. The new electric scooter has been named the Simple Dot One. The Simple Dot One will be positioned below the Simple One e-scooter in the range of models offered by the manufacturer in the country. Simple Energy will be launching the Dot One for the Indian market on December 15. Deliveries for the Simple Dot One are expected to begin from January 2024 onwards.
Simple Energy currently only sells the Simple One e-scooter in the Indian market. The Simple One e-scooter has been priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). As the Simple Dot One will be positioned below the Simple One in the company’s line up of e-scooters, it is expected that it will be priced more reasonably, making it more budget friendly. It is expected to be priced under Rs 1 lakh, competing with only the Ola S1X in the segment.

The Simple Dot One will be built on the same platform as the Simple One e-scooter and will be equipped with a removable battery pack of a capacity of 3.7kWh and is expected to offer an IDC claimed driving range of 160 km. Specific details and information about the Simple Dot One have not been revealed yet, however, it is unlikely that it will look significantly distinguishable from the existing Simple One e-scooter. Simple Energy has revealed that the Dot One e-scooter will feature a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity similar to the display equipped in the Simple One. Additionally, it will offer over 30 litres of storage area under the seat.
