Scorpio X Trademark: Mahindra, a leading automobile manufacturer unveiled the 'Global Pik Up' truck concept in August 2023. Now, Mahindra has filed a trademark for the 'Scorpio X' nameplate which features a font design similar to the Scorpio N. As per speculations, Scorpio X nameplate could be used for the production version of the Global Pik Up truck, but no official confirmation has been made yet.

Mahindra Scorpio X Pickup Truck - Design
The Mahindra Global Pik Up concept that was unveiled earlier has been developed at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS). The Scorpio X Pik Up concept bears a strong resemblance to the Scorpio N, especially from the front fascia. The bumper is new and features a large bash plate, tow hooks and a distinct grille. It includes a snorkel, roof rack with a LED light bar and a cargo area with two spare tires. While specifications are not yet provided, the wheelbase seems to have been extended. The tailgate features the “Mahindra” name, and the bumper has tow hooks and a step for easier access to the cargo bed.
Mahindra Scorpio X Pickup Truck - Features
Mahindra asserts that the Global Pik Up will be packed with advanced features and technology. Some of the highlighted features include Level-2 ADAS, semi-automatic parking and 5G-based networking. The pickup will also offer a sunroof, a popular feature among Indian consumers.

Mahindra Scorpio X Pickup Truck - Engine Specs
The Mahindra Global Scorpio X Pik Up is expected to feature a Gen-II mHawk diesel engine. It is likely that it will offer 4WD drivetrain and the ability to change gears while driving, along with four driving modes: Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut and Sand. The production version will also have a petrol engine option, similar to the one powering the Scorpio N.
Mahindra Scorpio X Pickup Truck - Launch Timeline
The Mahindra Scorpio X Pik Up is expected to officially launch in 2025 in markets like South Africa, Australia, and India, with other markets, including some ASEAN countries, where demand for petrol pickups is high.
