Czech automaker Skoda had discontinued its popular Superb sedan in the Indian market due to BS6 Phase II emissions norms. However, Skoda India has now confirmed that the Skoda Superb is being reintroduced in the country on April 3, 2024. Also, unlike its previous iterations, the Superb will no longer undergo local assembly but will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) under the GSR 870 rule which allows a yearly import quota of 2,500 units without homologation.
