Skoda’s Intensive Test Regiment

Skoda had earlier revealed the car's silhouette and interior images, and is now sharing the intensive test regiment that subjected these vehicles to extreme climates, from the freezing Arctic to the scorching Arizona desert. Skoda states that both the new Kodiaq and Superb have covered over 10 lakh kilometres in the last two years. Additionally, Skoda claims to have simulated 40 years of real-world use through extensive endurance and material testing on both test rigs and in laboratory environments.

Skoda started testing these new models approximately four years ago, with real-world testing commencing two years ago. These prototypes of the new Superb and Kodiaq endured extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C. Testing locations included the Arctic Circle, Arizona, Spain, and Africa. Additionally, the vehicles faced 13% inclines in the Austrian Alps, allowing the company to assess brake efficiency and thermal regulation.
