Fuel prices in India have been steady for over a year now, however, the rise in petrol and diesel prices has caused a shift in people's choices. People have now started picking CNG or electric cars instead of conventional fuel-powered cars. Though CNG cars are not new in the Indian market, automakers have now started launching company-fitted CNG cars. Earlier, CNG kits in cars were installed from the outside market.
Now, people often get confused about whether to buy a company-fitted CNG car or get a CNG kit installed from the outside market. While company-fitted CNG cars could be costlier than their petrol variants, CNG kits can also be externally installed on cars after getting the RTO's permission.
Pros And Cons Of Company Fit CNG Cars And Externally Fit CNG Cars:
Two different CNG kits are available in the market. The first is the Venturi CNG kit and its usage has significantly decreased lately. A sequential CNG kit is the second type of kit that is available and is a modern kit that automakers typically use.
The cost of the aftermarket CNG kit fitting is either similar to or somewhat higher than the cost of the company-fitted CNG kit. It is best to get a company-fitted CNG kit because it comes with an engine warranty. On the other hand, when the aftermarket CNG Kit is installed, the engine's warranty expires.

There is a chance of fraud in the aftermarket instalment if the CNG kit isn't fitted from a reputable dealership. Additionally, the expense of any engine damage caused by the mechanic will have to be dealt with by the car's owner.
The company-installed CNG kits are only installed after being put through numerous tests and are more trustworthy. An aftermarket CNG kit by an unlicensed dealer could result in the CNG kit being illegal.
