Tata Cars Price Hike: Tata, the renowned Indian car manufacturer, has announced a price hike of up to 0.5 per cent on its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) cars to be effective from April 1, 2026. The price hike will not affect the brand’s electric vehicle lineup, and it is expected to make popular models, such as the Tata Sierra, Tata Nexon, Tata Punch, Tata Tigor, Tata Tiago, Tata Safari, and Tata Harrier, more expensive.
Tata Cars Price Hike: The Reason
The brand shared that an increase in input costs, raw material costs, and logistics expenses has pressured the margins over the recent months, resulting in a price hike. The brand has not yet shared the exact figures of the variant-wise price hike, and the average hike is expected to be 0.5 per cent, which is not expected to put pressure on prospective consumers.

Other Brands To Increase Price
Popular luxury car manufacturers, such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi, have already announced a price hike across their entire portfolio. The depreciating rupee, increasing commodity prices, and elevated logistics costs and component costs have stressed the margins over the past few months, resulting in manufacturers increasing prices for their products. While Audi will increase the price of its cars by 1 per cent, BMW and Mercedes-Benz will increase the prices of their offering by up to 2 per cent.
