Tata Harrier EV Launch: Tata Motors has announced that it will be launching several models in this financial year that also included the Tata Harrier EV. The Harrier EV was showcased for the first time at the Auto Expo 2023 and was then showcased again at the Bharat Mobility Expo, earlier this year. We have already reported about the launch confirmation of the Nexon CNG in India. In addition to the Harrier EV and Nexon CNG, the manufacturer has confirmed that it will launch the Curvv ICE and EV models as well in the financial year.

Tata Harrier EV - Design 

In terms of design, the Tata Harrier EV will resemble its ICE counterpart with a few electric-specific tweaks. The front fascia boasts a sleek, blanked-off grille with horizontal slats, a full-width LED daytime running light (DRL) and a redesigned bumper with vertical slats that incorporates the ADAS sensor. The side profile remains similar to the traditional Harrier, but with new dual-tone aero-design alloy wheels. At the back, the only major difference is the lack of an exhaust pipe. New colour options, including a Seaweed Green paint scheme, are expected to be available.

Tata Harrier EV - Interior 

Moving inside, the Harrier EV mirrors the layout of recent Tata models. It boasts a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10-speaker JBL sound system with various modes, a twin-spoke steering wheel, an all-digital instrument panel, a touch-based HVAC panel, powered and ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof. Other features include dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors, steering-mounted controls, a wireless charger, ambient lighting, rear AC vents and six airbags.

Tata Harrier EV - Battery & Range  

Talking about its driving range, the Harrier EV will be more advanced than Tata’s current electric vehicles, featuring a larger battery pack that provides an estimated range of 500 km on a single charge. Additionally, it will be Tata’s first EV to offer an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration.

Tata Harrier EV - Expected Price 

The Harrier EV is expected to be priced between Rs 25 lakh to Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom), a significant premium over its ICE counterpart. It will compete with the upcoming Mahindra XUV.e9 and XUV.e8, Hyundai Creta EV, BYD Atto 3 and MG ZS EV.
