Tata Nexon Spotted Testing With Panoramic Sunroof: Sunroofs have become increasingly popular in India, with many manufacturers incorporating them into their vehicles. While most sub-4 metre compact SUVs offer electric sunroofs, Mahindra recently launched the XUV3XO with the segment-first panoramic sunroof, raising the standards in the sub-compact SUV segment. Following this trend, Tata is now likely to launch a panoramic sunroof option for the Nexon.

These speculations have been triggered as the Tata Nexon facelift has been spotted with a panoramic sunroof, hinting at an upcoming variant launch in the near future. This feature is expected to be included specifically in the top-end variants, while lower variants may continue with a standard electric sunroof. These updates are part of Tata's strategy to remain competitive in the Indian market, especially after Mahindra's XUV3XO launch, which features a segment-first panoramic sunroof.

Currently, the Nexon offers a single-pane sunroof in select variants, starting from Rs 9.80 lakh. As the panoramic sunroof is expected to be available in higher trims, it will potentially lead to a slight price increase. On the other hand, the XUV 3XO is the sole compact SUV in India offering a panoramic sunroof, starting from the AX7 variant priced at Rs 12.49 lakh onwards. It remains to be seen if the Nexon's panoramic sunroof variants will offer a more competitive pricing compared to the XUV 3XO.

In terms of engine specs, Tata Nexon’s upcoming variants with panoramic sunroof is expected to continue to be powered by the existing engine options - a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol with a power output of 120 bhp and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a power output of 115 bhp.
