2W Sales October 2025: Hero MotoCorp, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, TVS Motor Company, and Bajaj Auto led the 2W retail sales charge in October 2025, making it the best-ever month for India's two-wheeler (2W) industry. Thanks to the GST reforms, festive excitement, and improved rural sentiment, the 2W sector registered its highest-ever monthly wholesale sales, dispatching nearly 31.5 lakh units across domestic and export markets last month—a 51.76 per cent YoY increase from 27,75,578 units in October 2024.

When compared with September 2025 (Sales: 12,87,735 units), the October numbers mark a remarkable 144.60 per cent MoM (month-on-month) rise. 'After an almost quiet September for the first 21 days due to the GST transition, October witnessed a swift rebound, almost like a hurdle race, where pent-up demand passed the baton to festive sentiment and tax-cut excitement, propelling sales to historic levels,' said C S Vigneshwar, President of FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations).

October 2025 Sales: Top 5 Bestselling 2W Brands – Hero, Honda, TVS And More

Hero MotoCorp (9,94,787 units)

Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest 2W manufacturer, led the October 2025 sales chart with 9,94,787 units, a 72.20 per cent growth compared to the same period last year (October 2024: 5,77,678 units). It appears that Hero made the most of the rural resurgence, expanding its market share to 31.58 per cent.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (8,21,976 units)

Hero's arch rival, Honda, the world's largest scooter OEM, took the second spot with 8,21,976 units, almost doubling its October 2024 sales of 5,56,209 units. Last month also witnessed Honda hitting the milestone of delivering 35 million Activas since the scooter's launch in India.

TVS Motor Company (5,58,075 units) and Bajaj Auto (3,23,713 units)

TVS (5,58,075 units) and Bajaj (3,23,713 units) claimed the third and fourth positions, respectively. The sales differential between the two in October 2025 is a sizeable 2,34,362 units. With 57.82 per cent YoY growth compared to October 2024, TVS expanded its market share to over 17.7 per cent. TVS' portfolio effectively covers entry-level commuter bikes, premium motorcycles, scooters, and electric vehicles.

Bajaj's sales performance, on the other hand, is a mixed bag. While the brand reported a 40.11 per cent increase from 2,31,048 units sold in October 2024, it lost nearly 1 per cent of its market share (from 11.13 to 10.28 per cent). While the Pulsar range was the driving force behind Bajaj's sales resurgence, the brand's preference for premium motorcycles over entry-level commuters led to a decline in market share.

Moreover, the brand registered its best-ever festive season sales during September and October 2025, delivering more than 2.49 lakh motorcycles, a 26 per cent YoY growth compared to the same period last year.
