Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Scrambler 400X on Tuesday for the Indian market. Triumph Scrambler 400X is now open for bookings at a refundable price of Rs 10,000 and the motorcycle will be exclusively sold at the Triumph dealership network spanning across 100 cities in the country. The Triumph Scrambler 400 X has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.62 lakh. Triumph Scrambler 400 X will be manufactured locally in India at Bajaj's Chakan-2 facility for both Indian and international markets.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Appearance
In terms of appearance, the Scrambler 400 X resembles the Scrambler 1200 XC and boasts an upright posture, Metzeler Karoo dual-sport tires on 19-inch alloy wheels in the front and 17-inch alloys at the rear. Other elements like the mesh headlight guard, knuckle guards, engine bash-plate, headlight grille, radiator guard, split seat setup, sump guard, handguards, handlebar brace, a longer front mudguard and a dual-barrel exhaust are also present that add onto the motorcycle’s Scrambler experience.
Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Engine
The Scrambler 400 X is powered by a liquid-cooled 398cc single-cylinder engine that is tuned to generate a power output of 40 bhp and 37.3 Nm of torque. The motorcycle also features a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. This same engine is also used in the Speed 400 and is a part of Triumph's new TR series of engines.
Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Hardware, Suspension and Braking
Talking about the hardware on the Scrambler 400 X, it gets a 43 mm up-side down Big Piston forks in the front and a preload adjustable rear monoshock. The suspension on the Scrambler 400 X has been increased to 150 mm on both ends when compared to the 140 mm of suspension travel in the front and 130 mm at the rear of the Speed 400. The Scrambler 400 X also features a 320 mm disc at the front and 230 mm disc on the rear with a switchable ABS for braking responsibilities.
Triumph Scrambler 400 X - Features
Features of the Scrambler 400 X include switchable traction control, ride-by-wire technology, digi-analogue display and dual-channel ABS from Bosch that can be deactivated for off-road purpose.
