TVS introduced the TVS Creon a few years ago, with the concept in mind that it would be a scooter that looked futuristic and had some great styling features. The company has now introduced the TVS X, the TVS Creon's production version.
TVS X - Design
TVS X has a motorcycle-inspired body design defining the front end. The headlamp, which unites the two sections, is entirely made of LEDs and has distinguishing lighting patterns. Along with flush-fit indicators, the X also gets cornering lamps that are very smartly placed. The alloy wheel design is new yet similar to the TVS NTorq scooter.

The X is not given a floorboard and the spine of the frame occupies that space instead. Due to the unique central spine, the scooter boasts of a very distinctive appearance and that is where the battery pack is fitted. The riding position is similar to that of typical scooters and the footboards on either side look huge. The X offers a twin-seat configuration and the under-seat area has 19-litre storage space.
The X's motor scooter features can be noticed by taking a closer look at the handlebar. The device has a sizable 10.25-inch configurable infotainment system that serves as both a video player and gaming console in addition to providing regular data. The switchgear is new and different, and the levers can be adjusted. The X also has cruise control, which functions in accordance with the three riding modes available: Xtealth, Xtride, and Xonic. Xonic is the most powerful riding mode.
TVS X - Performance
With a 0-40 km/h acceleration time of 2.6 seconds and a maximum power output of 11kW, the X positions itself as the most powerful electric scooter with its competitors. The maximum speed is claimed to be 105 km/h.
TVS X - Platform and Battery
The TVS X is built on TVS’ XLETON platform and has a high-precision cast aluminium alloy frame. The 4.44kWh battery pack that powers the TVS X claims to provide a 140 km driving range. TVS X offers the option of a Smart X Home rapid charger, which charges from 0 per cent to 50 per cent in 50 minutes (optional add-on 3 kW fast charger), or a portable charger, which charges from 0 per cent to 80 per cent in approximately 5 hours.
TVS X - Price
The TVS X is the most expensive electric scooter now in India with a starting price of Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter is not qualified for the FAME-II subsidy from the central government at this pricing.
Bookings for the TVS X have already started, and deliveries are expected to start in November 2023. A Garmin Smartwatch and a "Curated Concierge" package worth Rs 18,000 will be given to the first 2,000 customers.
