Vietnamese automaker VinFast is gearing up to enter the Indian market with a range of electric vehicles in 2025. The company has filed design patents for an electric scooter, an electric cycle, and an electric SUV. Recently, the VinFast VF e34, one of their global models, was spotted testing on Indian roads, hinting at its potential as VinFast's first offering in India.

VinFast VF e34 - Design 

The VinFast VF e34 is a 5-seater compact electric SUV that is already available in several international markets. In terms of design, the EV features a sloping hood with connected LED daytime running lights (DRLs) forming a V shape and petal-like headlamps positioned on the bumpers. As an electric vehicle, it has a covered front fascia with vents for battery cooling. Additionally, it is also likely to get advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) sensors. The SUV’s side profile features a high stance, 18-inch alloy wheels and a high window line. At the back, it has elongated tail-lamps that run across the width, a rear wiper with a washer and reflectors on the bumpers.

VinFast VF e34 - Interior & Features 

Moving inside, the VF e34 is likely to include a 10-inch vertical touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, keyless entry, single-zone automatic climate control and push-button start/stop. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert and a 360-degree camera with surround view. 

VinFast VF e34 - Powertrain & Performance 

In terms of powertrain, the VF e34 is powered by a 41.9 kWh battery along with a front-wheel motor that produces a power output of 150 bhp and 242 Nm of torque. It is available with three driving modes - Eco, Comfort and Sport. The VF e34 is expected to offer a claimed range of 318 km on a full charge. Fast charging can take the battery from 10 per cent to 70 per cent in just 27 minutes. The SUV has a top speed of 130 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 9 seconds.

VinFast VF e34 - Expected Price & Launch India 

The VF e34 is expected to launch in India in 2026, with the initial models arriving as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and local production starting later. It is expected to be priced around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
