VLF Mobster 135 Launch: VLF (or Velocifero) has launched the Mobster 135 in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 1.30 lakh. The introductory price offer, however, is valid for the first 2,500 bookings; thereafter, Italian-origin VLF is expected to increase the price. Like the Tennis, the Mobster 135 will be available for purchase through MotoHaus, a part of the KAW group from Kolhapur.

VLF Mobster 135: Engine, Mileage

Whereas the Tennis is an electric scooter from VLF, the Mobster 135 is an ICE (internal combustion engine) scooter that uses a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine, mated to an IVT, is tuned to produce 12bhp at 8,250rpm and 11.7Nm at 6,500rpm. The top speed is rated at 100km/h, according to VLF. The VLF Mobster 135's 8-litre fuel tank offers a claimed mileage of 46km/k.

VLF Mobster 135: Features, Electronic Aids

In terms of features, the Mobster 135 gets a 5.0-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to switchable traction control and dual-channel ABS. Keyless ignition, an engine start-stop, and a USB charging port also form part of the list. A dashcam is offered as an optional extra.

VLF Mobster 135: Hardware

Suspension is taken care of by a telescopic fork at the front and dual gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear, while a 230mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc handle braking duties. The front disc brake is kitted out with a combined braking system for added safety. The scooter sits on 12-inch wheels with 120/70 front and 130/70 rear tubeless tyres. 

VLF Mobster 135: Styling 

The VLF Mobster stands out with its sharp and angular styling. It features low-mounted twin LED projector headlamps, taking inspiration from Italjet scooters. The front section also has integrated turn indicators and a tall visor positioned above exposed handlebars. The scooter gets a stepped-up seat and aggressive body panels along the sides, while the rear end sports a sleek-looking taillamp, completing the sharp design of the scooter. VLF offers the scooter in four colour options (Crimson Override, Ghostlight, Ash Circuit, and Neon Venom).

The VLF Mobster tips the scales at 122kg (kerb) and has a 797mm seat height and a 155mm ground clearance. In terms of market competition, the Mobster goes against the Hero Xoom 125, Aprilia SR 125, TVS Ntorq 125, and other 125cc scooters in the segment.
