German automobile giant Volkswagen has unveiled the ID.4 all-electric crossover in India, marking its entry into the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market. Though, the exact launch timeline of Volkswagen’s EV model has not yet been disclosed. The Volkswagen ID.4 will be the German automaker’s first electric vehicle model available for sale in India.

Volkswagen ID.4 - Exterior and Interior Design
Talking about the exterior design of the Volkswagen ID.4, it boasts sharp headlamps, distinct front air intakes, and stylish tail lamps connected by a sleek light bar. Moving inside the Volkswagen ID.4, its cabin features a minimalistic design which is highlighted by a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Volkswagen ID.4 - Powertrain, Battery and Range
The Volkswagen ID.4 is offered in various configurations in international markets. It is offered in single-motor and dual-motor setups, the single-motor variant is equipped with a smaller 58 kWh battery pack that delivers a range of 336 km. The single-motor variant is capable of producing a power output of 204 bhp. The dual-motor variant is offered in two options - all-wheel-drive powertrain and rear-wheel-drive powertrain. The dual-motor setup is capable of producing a power output of 334 bhp and is equipped with a larger 77 kWh battery pack. This larger battery pack delivers a driving range of 410 km in the all-wheel-drive variant and 442 km in the rear-wheel-drive variant. Although specific details regarding the variants available in India have not been confirmed, Volkswagen's unveiling of the ID.4 underscores its commitment to introducing electric vehicle models in the Indian market.

Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Concept
In addition to this, Volkswagen India has also introduced the Taigun GT Plus Sport And Taigun GT Line Variants in the country. Both these models are expected to hit the Indian market soon. Moreover, Volkswagen India also unveiled the Virtus GT Plus concept in the country. The Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus is in its concept stage, however, it is anticipated to be launched later this year.
