Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport And Taigun GT Line: German automobile giant Volkswagen has launched new variants of the Taigun - the GT Plus Sport and the GT Line. Both these new variants of the Volkswagen Taigun SUV boast significant cosmetic enhancements while retaining the same engine and transmission options, ensuring no mechanical changes. Volkswagen India has announced that both these models are set to hit the Indian market soon.

These variants aim to offer customers a choice between a more powerful turbo petrol engine and a more fuel-efficient option, catering to different preferences and driving needs. With their distinctive design elements and performance features, the Taigun GT Plus Sport and GT Line variants are poised to make a statement in the competitive Indian SUV market.

Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line - Exterior Design 

Talking about the exterior design of the Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line variant, it includes smoked LED headlamps, a Carbon Steel Grey roof, and red-finished GT badges and brake calipers. Additionally, dark chrome door handles, 17-inch alloy wheels, and various black elements further enhance the appearance.

Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line - Interior & Features

Moving inside the Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line variant, the interior features black leatherette upholstery with red stitching, a gloss black dashboard, aluminum pedals, and GT badging on the front headrests. The sporty theme continues with a Sport steering wheel adorned with red stitching, along with blacked-out grab handles, roof lamp housing, and sun visors.

Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line - Engine Specs 

In terms of engine specs, the Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that is capable of delivering a power output of 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Taigun GT Line will be powered by a 1.0-litre TSI engine that is capable of generating a power output of 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Both engines will be paired with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox, with an automatic transmission option available. The 1.0 TSI variant will offer a 6-speed torque converter, while the 1.5 EVO variant will come equipped with a 7-speed DSG unit.
