The Bihar government convened a meeting to review the progress of various departmental schemes. District Magistrates were instructed to investigate low land allocations under the Abhiyan Basera housing scheme.
The meeting, chaired by the Chief Secretary, saw participation from all divisional commissioners and district magistrates via video conference. Revenue and Land Reforms Department discussed the ranking of districts based on revenue case disposal, with Patna, Gaya, Lakhisarai, West Champaran, and Khagaria performing well.
The Home Department addressed pending cases related to the Bihar Crime Control Act, arms license verification, and character certificate verification, directing an inquiry into individuals purchasing large quantities of ammunition.
The General Administration Department discussed the status of caste-based census data and directed eight districts to rectify errors. Instructions were given to prevent sand mining lease returns in 2025-26 and address illegal mining in forest areas.
The meeting also reviewed the Chief Minister's Gram Parivahan Yojana, under which 3664 out of 9358 applicants have received benefits, and emphasised the importance of the Helmet campaign. Compensation to 4935 applicants under the Hit and Run Compensation Scheme was also noted.
