Under the Agri Stack Scheme by the Ministry of Agriculture, the process of farmer registration is currently underway across Nawada district. Farmers who own land in their name are being given a unique ID number through verification camps. This unique ID will help them avail benefits from upcoming government schemes.

The Agriculture and Revenue Departments are working together to carry out this task. For the registration, two revenue villages from each block have been selected. Camps are being organised in these villages to complete e-KYC and land verification.

Farmers must carry their mobile phone, Aadhaar card, and land documents to the camp. First, an Agriculture Coordinator carries out the e-KYC, followed by land verification by the revenue staff. Once verified and linked with Aadhaar, a unique ID is generated and handed over to the farmer.

As per the District Agriculture Office, registration for around 200 farmers has already been done, with 15–20 farmers registered per camp so far. The selected revenue villages are those near block headquarters and with a higher number of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries. The registration process is being handled by Agriculture Coordinators and Revenue staff in all blocks.

The drive covers all Raiyat (landholding) farmers, whether they own as little as one kattha or up to 50 acres or more. It is important that the name on the Aadhaar matches the land records.

“All Agriculture Coordinators have been directed to conduct camps and ensure farmer registration. Farmers from selected villages are requested to complete their registration as per the rules. This unique ID will be important for future schemes,” said Santosh Kumar, District Agriculture Officer, Nawada.

The selected revenue villages include Farah, Bareba Govindpur, Bishanpur, Chhatihar, Sakara Kashichak, Khakhri, Dedhgaon, Sokhodevra, Manjhila, Medhkuri, Meskaur, Gotrayan, Kahuaran, Narhat, Jhikruanwada, Kadirganj, Jamuawan Patwasrai, Pakribarawan, Dhevdha, Chhatarwar, Bandhan Chhapra, Bahadurpur, Nazardih, Marui, Saadh Manjhgawan, Makanpur, and Mosma.
