Purnia To Delhi Flight: Just 18 days after its inauguration, Purnia Airport continues to make rapid progress, with new flight routes and increasing passenger traffic. IndiGo Airlines has announced the launch of a direct daily flight between Purnia and New Delhi, starting from October 26, 2025.

The demand for a direct connection to the national capital had been growing steadily since the airport opened. Local residents, political leaders, and civil society members had actively petitioned authorities including the Chief Minister, Union Civil Aviation Minister, and the Prime Minister urging them to facilitate air connectivity between Purnia and Delhi.

According to Jagran.com, the airline will operate a 186-seater aircraft on the route, offering daily service between the two cities.

Purnia To Delhi Flight: Check Flight Schedule, Fare Details

According to Purnia Airport Director D.K. Gupta, the flight from Delhi will depart at 10:45 AM and land in Purnia at 12:50 PM. The return flight will take off from Purnia at 1:50 PM and reach Delhi by 3:55 PM. The starting fare from Purnia to Delhi has been set at Rs 6,300, while the fare from Delhi to Purnia is around Rs 5,000. He also confirmed the development, stating that approval has been granted to begin flight operations from Purnia to Delhi.

Rising Demand and Connectivity

The airport, inaugurated just over two weeks ago, has already become a vital hub for the Seemanchal region. It currently offers daily flights to Kolkata operated by IndiGo and Star Air, and flights to Ahmedabad four times a week, which will become daily from October 15.

Airlines have reported over 90 per cent seat occupancy on all flights from Purnia, indicating strong passenger demand. In fact, during the recent festival rush, Star Air had to deploy a larger 88-seater aircraft to accommodate increased traffic.
